I'm just thinking how nice it would be to have these still attached
to their original envelope.

Especially for a postal historian.

Then again I also cut off and washed hundreds of Canadian stamps
like these in the late fifties, early sixties.

I posted about obtaining some recent used stamps and someone has already spoken for them...pending permission from my boss, of course. I'm sure if I explain the stamps will be climped off the envelopes and I'm not selling them it'll be okay.
