Bookbndrbob, I am surprised the society for prevention of animal cruelity or peta has not tried to find out who the person or owner of that picture postage stamp is. As well I am surprised that such a photo would be allowed to be put on a stamp. It may very well be manipulated images for a laugh, but in the end at who's expense!

Mike, the design of this stamp is artwork, a painting. I don't see any cruelty here, just a rooster and a hen (no spurs) in a chicken coop. Since I cannot read Danish, I do not know what the folk tale is about. |

I guess I should have specified more clearly than just picture postage stamp. I was commenting about the german stamp posted at the top of the page showing the boy lassoing the chicken.

Looks like a lot of photo editing to me. No doubt, PETA would not approve of that design.
I saw on the news earlier this year where PETA put up a billboard in Baltimore urging Marylanders to refrain from eating crabs. HA...good luck with that suggestion! |
