A counterfeit of Michel #5 (Scott #5) in the wrong color, with a cancel never used in Mecklenburg.

I'm sure its a typo, but you might want to change the title to Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

I believe the cancel reads "Gnoien".

Yes, Gnoien. Wikipedia says, "Gnoien is a small town in the Rostock district, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. It is situated 40 km southeast of Rostock."

Bumping old thread

I am assuming that this is Mecklenburg-Schwerin #1 "paste up" (my word)...

1. Why would someone do this when it is obviously not a block of four?
2. Given the deltas between the stamp printings, are they all/any real?

Thank you in advance for any feedback.
Don

Sorry, badly worded. Read as 'given the differences in the inking'...

Pure guess
Clockwise Stamps 2 and 3 are forgeries. Stamp 4 is a forgery
