This past week, I received the newly released catalogue from Murray Payne Ltd., in Somerset, England. It is the 19th edition of The Commonwealth King George VI Catalogue. I got it directly from the publisher (it's the only way it is sold) for £40 + £11 shipping. That's about $110 Cdn.
I have the 18th Edition (released in 2000). The new edition includes the Indian Native Feudatory States, and more overall detail in the listings. This catalogue is for the serious specialst collector of the KGVI reign of the British Commonwealth. It list the numerous varieties, shades, printings, etc. that are not even touched by Scott and only slightly mentioned in Stanley Gibbons.
The 20th Edition will probably be released in another five to seven years.
Murray Payne has a subscription available for a bi-monthly newsletter titled "Sixth Sense". It is packed with detail and study of the aforementioned stamps. Everything the KGVI collector could want.
