Can anyone give me a heads up on what the correct Showgard mounts would be for these souvenirs: 735, 750, 751. I have the Showgard list, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what's what.

Cheers...

You can buy a set containing Showgard mounts for all souvenir sheets to 1975 except the White Plains. See the listing at the bottom of this page.

It's prety easy for all you U.S. collectors. Everything is pretty well identified for you. I have to resort to keeping at least one pack of every Showguard size in stock to cover all the various sizes of German And Guatemalan stamps, sheets, booklets, etc. I just choose the best fit.

Ever consider that the MNH craze is a conspiracy that was hatched by
the companies that wanted to sell mounts? People are mounting stamps
that aren't going to be worth the extra cost of the mounts they are
using.

I've seen collections of recent, mint, U.S., in mounts, sell for less
than face. I guess that's to account for having to remove them from
mounts before they can be used for postage!

Larry, for me it's not protecting the value of the stamp that I'm worried about. It's all about my anal-retentive need for neatness and organization. It's not an easy disease to live with!

A good point. Scott 801-831 are for nothing, relatively speaking, but I just can't seem to get myself to hinge the MNH set. Of course, if I had simply acquired the set used the whole issue would be moot. Which, I guess, is Larry's point, and brings me back to the question I asked a couple of days ago about mint vs used. And does hinging a MNH stamp really detract THAT much from the desirability and value of the stamp? Maybe it is a conspiracy. I have to think some more about that.

Oh heck even my used US stamps are in mounts. The cost isn't even noticeable but the neatness is so I guess that is why I even mount a stamp that is worth next to nothing.

I used an old paper cutter we have to cut the bulk mounts. It works like a charm.
