Photobucket Changes And Alternatives

Been a long time advocate of photobucket as it was simple and user friendly. I've read numerous post that the new changes have caused alot of problems from copying links to even viewing pages. The official transfer to the "new" format will be in the next week or so. What are other options/opinions, and maybe a hint or two of ease of use , limits ect... would be beneficial. Maybe photobuckets bugs will be worked out with the complete transfer but I fear a new hosting site will be needed. Hate to try and transfer 100's if not 1000's of pics but such is progress.
EDIT- I also wanted to mention that when you host an image here on SCF from a site like this , if you remove the image from that site it will also no longer show up here. For eductational and archival purposes I would hope anyone making a move would not remove their old images to save the validity of many post here on scf.
