Dooly, the little dinosaur by Kim Soo-jeung,
In 1983, Kim Soo-seung's creation "Dooly", the little dinosaur, opened a new era of commercialization of cartoon characters in advertisting, film and on television. Frozen in a block of ice, "Dooly" was preserved through the eons to live again in modern Korea. He typifies childhood in his thinking and behavior.





Kochuboo by Kim Yong-whan, Kim Yong-hwan's political comic character "Kochuboo", first appeared in the pages of a newspaper in 1942 as a means of enlightening Korean expatriates in Japan. Since then, the cartoon character with bulbous nose has emerged as a national icon loved by many Koreans.
