I agree, not my favorite stamps... but remember, there are many different Christmas customs all over the world, at least of the secular variety. For instance, I think pickles mean something for Germans at Christmastime. Also, there is a "peppermint pig" I have heard about...

Here is an image of a Christmas stamp depicting a girl, gift shoes and a letter, designed by French artist Pierrette Lambert, engraved by Jacques Combet, and issued by Monaco on November 8, 1978, Scott No. 1128.

I wonder if there are more to the Christmas issue that year hat are as sparkly or if there is the only one.

Here is an image of a Christmas stamp depicting a Nativity scene from a tympanum over the 14th century Bethlehem Portal in the Notre Dame Collegiate Church of Huy, Belgium, engraved by Jean De Vos, and issued by Belgium on November 18, 1978, Scott No. 1023.

Here is an image of a Christmas souvenir sheet featuring a detail from Nativity ("Holy Night"), an oil on canvas painting (between 1528 and 1530) by Antonio Allegri da Correggio (1489-1534), usually known as Correggio, the foremost painter of the Parma school of the Italian Renaissance, engraved by Jean De Vos, and issued by Rwanda on December 15, 1969, Scott No. 309, plus an image of the stamp included in the souvenir sheet.
