Hi All,

I have decided to change directions in my collection to Be worldwide but focused on Postal Covers. So, I want to liquidate my US collection; Album (incomplete), Sheets, blocks, and stockbook.

I need your advice on the best method to alleviate myself of these. I have sent a scan to a couple of the big store, ie. Mystic, but they aren't interested. Should I offer the album page by page on ebay? Should I offer them stamp by stamp? Here is a link to the scans on photobucket. Of course it would be nice ifthe site would allow a sorting option.

Thanks for any help

The good news- the stamps present nicely.

The bad news- the collection is in the beginning- early middle range, and really not much of value or interest for many US collectors.

Most collectors of US will already have those stamps, especially the 19th and early 20th century.

Honestly, I would think about just keeping the collection, and add to the collection as there are still many inexpensive spaces that could be filled.

I doubt you would get much money selling the collection.

If the collection came up for our local club auction, it would probably sell in the $50 range.

Of course, I've been known to be wrong before.

Hi,
As mentioned above, the collection is really nice, but it just isn't going to bring you a pot of money - either from a dealer or ebay. I suggest you hold on to it. Who knows, you may decide to go back to US stamps, or come to know someone who would love to take it over and continue it.

You put too much love and attention and money in that to just "give it away".
