Odd Shaped Stamps. Be Cool, Don't Be A Square.

and were cut out at the counter in the post office by the agent/clerk. The agent would cut rectangular or not, depending on ????? The Michel catalogue lists the rectangular specimens at about 20 times the price of the non-rectangular ones. The stamps are hence the same, only the manner of cutting them out of the sheet is different.

I don't think so. The Mecklenburg is about 12 x 12 mm, the smallest stamp know of is the Bolivar (7 x 11 mm) shown here:

USA 2013 (still on cover, a Glaboal-rate international mail Forever stamp showing a view of planet Earth.

One of my few Tongan covers with a rather large round 15/- stamp.
These are quite rare on covers.
