If you want to see the astonishing complexity of the Egyptian pantheon, look up "Mut" in Wikipedia. The article mentions that "Mut" meant "Mother" in Egyptian. Did that eventually evolve into "Mater" in Latin and "Mutter" in German, and finally "Mother" in modern English? Very few words we can trace back 5,000 years!

Most Egyptian philologists (language authorities) do believe that that is the eventual base for our word Mother. It is interesting to note that there are many words taken from ancient Egyptian into English.
Nitre, Ammonia, Kau for cow, are some examples.
Proper names like Susan, which in ancient Egyptian meant Lily, so here you have two names. Also the name Yuri is Ancient Egyptian, and philologists now believe that the name George is also ancient Egyptian.
Nothing is new, we just keep recycling.
