I don't know, I don't have duplicates, I only buy what I need to fill the holes in my collection. When I replace a stamp with a better specimen, I either give away or throw away what it replaced.
Duplicates and used stamps that have to be mounted, or sets completed, are in #2 glassine envelopes. These are stored in plastic business card boxes. Older Mint waiting for set completion are stored on Hawid 3 row approval cards in a metal file box. Material to mount immediately is store in glassine bags and in plastic file drawers. I do have some items to get rid of on Manila stock cards, but very little.
