The way some people cared for Stamps is mind scratching. Found this block in an envelope stuffed with low value singles. It looks as if the bottom 2 Stamps are sound with the bottom left being the best and never hinged.

The bottom right will fall very close to the thin being on the edge of the stamp and the top 2 are hosed. do you break the block up ? Split into pairs or singles ? Toss the creased ones up for auction starting at $1 and hope for the best ?

Basic rule for me for imperf is to keep them as pair as a minimum.

That's a tough one.

My gut feeling is that a nice 90a pair is not too expensive, which tells me that a spacefiller pair will not draw much attention.

For me, I might look at a block with a small thin, but I wouldn't look twice at a block with a hard crease. (For purchasing to keep as a block...I'd still look at it to see what I could split it into, as you are doing.)

If I was trying to maximize the sale price(s) I think I would split it horizontally into pairs and hope for the best.

There is a block of four on Stampwants right now with a BIN of $25, described as 'with thins' but no picture of the back. It looks generally okay from the front, albeit with smallish margins.

Guessing...

I'm thinking of possibly keeping at minimum the bottom pair for my collection since I don't have them.

I shudder at the thought of placing creased items in my Million Dollar collection.....

Actually I just figured a good pair beats a creased block of 4.
