Here's an interesting article on the Railway Post Office (RPO) and some of the hardships faced by RPO Mail Clerks who were assigned the job of sorting mail on trains.

An interesting look back on the old days of RPOs, railroad history and US Mail delivery.

Here's an interesting little book I bought last year...It's a short read. (64 pages)...lot's of photos etc.
