Hi,
I'm merging stamps from 3 Scotts international albums into one, going country by country. Obviously, some countries are "more fun" than others in this regard.

One of the more confusing ones (to me) is India. The series from the early 1900s and the like stamps with the "service" imprint, etc., are inconsistant in design from stamp to stamp in the same series.

Thankfully, I have the scotts 1955 cataloge, which helps a lot, but there are just sooooo many variations.

Hey, I'm not complaining, just wanted to get others opinions.....

India is one of the places jkjblue's International Volume One checklist really comes in handy. I know you know about his blog, but for the record, here is a specific link to the India Official's checklist:

I'm always curious to see how collectors arrange the Convention States on the blank page that Scott provides. Have you decided how you are going to handle this?

One of the albums I picked up had a blank page neatly organized with the various states, and I will use it in my "keeper" set up.

Thanks also for the link. I have looked at it weeks ago but it didn't mean much at the time. Now that I am sorting those Indian stamps, it gives the process a whole new meaning.
