Possibly could be a couple of Scott/SG numbers, but, I will appreciate a help to narrow the possibilites. It looks to be issued on some kind of thick paper (than other stamps from that period). Thanks!
From what I can pick out from your scan, and if on thick paper, the stamp looks like the Stanley Gibbons no. SG97a, Lilac with the hyphen (SIX-PENCE). 7th March 1865. Not sure what it would fetch as it seems in poor condition. I don't have a Scott catalogue for GB so can't give the Scott number. There are all sorts of watermark variations I believe, inverted, reversed, both, and errors. There are GB Queen Victoria experts on here who will be able to advise you better than I.
Mr. Rollyduggy and Sir Terence Collins, thank you for the suggestons and yours observations. Now, when I have some clues (numbers), I will know what to look in the catalogs.
