The winning bidder with a feedback score of 2 kept driving the price up and 100% of his activity is with this seller. I agree something is not right here, but the last time I accused an auction of being fishy I got chastised.

I'm amazed that 3 usernames were willing to pay $300+ for the reproduction!

The seller "joined" ebay on March 26, 2013 - just several weeks ago. Also the seller has no other items for sale.

Not that amazing ,if you think the buyer will put this fake copy in this album and then go around and show his friends and family his "valuable " stamp. We will all start seeing more and more collections posted on the web ,so people can be amazed with one person has, it will be a big ego boaster for the owner.I can see it now ,some guy showing his grandkids and then showing them a website of a major stamp auction house ,then the kids screaming to grandma that his collection is worth a lot of money ....ah priceless for a old guy who just purchased packet and kilo mixtures all his life .

But $300+ for a fake, just for an ego boost? I would have put the $300 down for a decent used US #1, but that's just me (I still don't have a used US #1). There's so many reproductions being made of the Cultural Revolution and 1970s PRC now that paying several hundred dollars for a single reproduction seems more than a bit high.

I guess whatever makes people happy!

PRC Cultural Revolution is a minefield right now, as reproductions abound.

It's possible seller is adding "offer as forgery" to add protection against claims from buyers it is fake, and it may be a real issue?

No feedback yet, but he sold about 10 items all listed similar. Sold for big BUCKS

PayPal hold a "New Sellers" funds for a few weeks before releasing the money to guard against fraud. Gives ample time for the winning bidder to receive the lot and be satisfied with the purchase.

An original block sold for HK$ 5.3m in 2009 so maybe HK$ 10m today?
I wouldn't pay that myself but I can see how a reproduction would be better that a gap
