The Humphrey Nissen plate reference images are now online.
Fantastic news for anyone trying to plate their Penny Blacks without buying the reference book which was first published in 1922 and is still the most widely used.

I would not want to be put to the test to own all the stamps on that site. I don't rightly know what I might do.

The Spink site works well. I can no longer see enough to read the book illustrations regarding the "ray flaws" properly so having them online, large size and in very high quality makes other identification properties a lot easier. The check letters especially really stand out and there are guide lines that are now visible to me as well.
A fantastic thing for Spink to do. My capture software will be working overtime to get them all downloaded
