Hi to all
Those who collect Australia are aware of the major error on the Christmas 1968 stamp that is extremely valuable.
However, I have seen a few with the variety of the gold grill partly missing. This one was in the collections I purchased yesterday. I have examined it with Ultra Violet Light and it shows no evidence of tampering.
Has this variety been listed anywhere, and does anyone else on the forum have a copy.
Regards
Horamakhet

I dont have a copy but the 2 faults I am aware of is the Green window (gold colour totally omitted) and the Red colour omitted. They can fetch around $1200+ Aussie

With 112,919,000 printed there could still be a good number hanging about in kiloware.

I have this stamp and yours does look different from mine. Looks like some of the gold is disturbed on the right bottom of two of the grills. Can't make out why. You say it hasn't been scuffed or anything. I guess you may have to get it checked.
Good find if it's for real.

I have two of these stamps. They are in excellent used condition. Do you know their worth & where I would go to sell them? I am new to this site.

As there were nearly 113 million of these Christmas stamps printed, they are of minimal value, regardless of condition.
