Purchasing A Collection

Usually I much prefer to build my own collection and rarely see the point of buying one someone else did the work on..one exception when I purchased a Lighthouse hingeless album of Argentina 1945 to 1979 90 percent mint never hinged for $99.00 I broke my rule...the pristine lighthouse album alone..plus if I had to purchase the stamps year by year...ouch ! I imagine there will be an opinion or two here !

That sounds like an absolute steal.

I bought an earlier collection of Argentina, mainly because there were many of the various Official Department stamps (The ones with the M.A., M.G. etc overprints) of 1913-37. Most are Minimum CV, but try to find a substantial grouping!

Jkblue thanks..actually there were two albums...the first from Day 1 to 1944 went for considerably more than the more modern album I won..i have quite a few departmental stamps from remainder albums..but they are the common..the better ones are seldom seen !
