Hey People,
I have inherited a stamp collection and would like to know the value if any on this collection. I have attached an image so if anyone can give me some information about the collection it would be great.

Kind regards

Rowska

Hello rowska, welcome!

These stamps shown are from Japam. That is about as far as I can go.

The pictures need to be in close amd clearer. Try putting the stamps all together, with the word NIPPON (Japan) reading upright, or the numbers upright, and re-scanning them so you can get a larger picture.

They should take up about 1/3 of the scanner bed screen. Then, with that picture (about 200 dots per inch resolution should be good, and you may have to cur that in half, file size speaking) we should be able to better see the stamps and maybe even see a year date on the stamp or the bottom of the stamps.

This would help a lot in using out catalogues or even ebay to identify and value them for you.

Best,
Doug

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

I am not an expert on them, but I doubt there is much monetary value to what is shown. That being said, you or a family member might want to keep them and look into the hobby. It is a lifelong pasttime, and will bring you knowledge and happiness - but wealth is unlikely.

Rowska welcome to SCF. You say a collection. Is that just one page or all of the stamps you inherited? Are there other countries or are they all from Japan?

All the stamps appear to be mint; did someone buy them at the Post Office in Japan in the past ten years?

Most of these stamps are from the mid 1980s.
