I aquired 10 packs of the original Dennison hinges but moisture got to them. So many are stuck together. They can be peeled one at a time but is there a quicker way, we are talking 10,000 hinges here? Haven't tried the freezer trick but will today and what about dipping in Ronsol?

[EDIT: Sorry, I'm not actually answering your question, but...]

If you are planning on actually using them yourself, I would simply peel them as you need them.

[EDIT: Hopefully someone can provide an actual answer for your question.]

Hi 1775mac

I would not do that, especially if you are going to lick the hinge later.

I was actually thinking about keeping half for my use and letting the other ones go for sale or trade. Got a batch in the freezer now, will let you know if the come apart quicker.

Hi,
I've recently bought 7 packs for prices from $15 to $21. If you are going to resell them, advertise them honestly and do not open them or do anything to them.

Those you keep yourself, just pull one off at a time.

BeeSee, I'll start up a new thread later so as not to hijack this one, and I will state the price according to the Forum rules. You can then decide if you still want it or not.

Sorry I was never able to find that S/S you wanted that I had misplaced a few years back. I haven't forgotten when I do stupid things.

Mmmm, tastes like chicken.

Well that was one thing I had overlooked. Thank you for the common sense approach. Maybe just peel one as needed and I think the rest will go for sale.

From what I know about them, which isn't much, these things used to peel off the back of stamps after use with the ease of something like a post-it. Why would someone have to freeze them apart?

Oh just that my eyes are crossing from peeling one at a time. Which they do easily but was hoping to see if they would all or most pop apart with a light action instead.

10 bags of healthy Dennison hinges would sell for $180.00. ( ! ). Why not sell the lot for $20.00, buy some nice Showgard mounts and come out ahead?

A scan of one of the package fronts, assuming they are all the same, would be interesting to me. Thanks...

The post-it notes are self-adhesive, so they can be reused a few dozen times (depending largely on how dirty or fibrous the surface is).

The Dennisons, although peelable, still require application of moisture to activate the gum. A good part of that gum is not recoverable after peeling. I can typically re-use a Dennison reliably about 2-4 times. After that, it will peel, but doesn't stick well.
