I know that postage stamps from this lot are very common, but, I will appreciate if someone can tell me something more about a couple of revenues amongst them. Thanks!

I can't comment on the Chinese stamps, but there are also 3 Japanese stamps in that group:

-- row 2, stamp 5
-- row 3, stamp 1 (upside down)
-- row 3, stamp 3

You'll see that they all have what looks like flower petals at the top. That's the chrysanthemum, a symbol associated with Japan (especially at that time).

The upside-down stamp is a New Year's stamp (for cards, sent like Christmas Cards are/were sent in the West); the other 2 are definitive stamps of the period.

Hope that's a bit helpful!

Row 2, #3 is a savings stamp. It has no postal function. It was a way people buying them as saving and redeem them for cash later.

That postal savings stamp is the only "revenue" stamp in the pic.

The rest of the Chinese stamps are either regular postage, airmail, or postage due.

A few fun facts from prior SCF threads on the postal savings stamps:

yours is one of a set of six (thanks khj), issued in 1943 (thanks ZhangCheng) and the vignette depicts ancient Chinese coins (thanks rod222).

A true international effort.
