British Guiana stamp accidentally destroyed?...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM6z-tK9Fko

How could a guy be so dumb as to allow this to even possibly happen?

It's a joke. No collector worth his salt would ever let anyone set a teacup on the album.

The teacup isn't on the album, but the point is made. I'm embarrassed for posting it. I am so gullible...

If you look closely you can see a number of stamp faux pas or otherwise ridiculous aspects of the video. Can you point any out (besides drinking coffee while handling stamps)?

I believe that British Guiana is still in the Du Pont family stamp collection. It was sold in the early 80's and was bought by John du Pont. John du Pont died in jail before completing his 30-year jail sentence.

Hi to all

It was revealed last year that it was actually an April Fools day joke

Now that I look at it, the binder is frightful. And folding it over itself is of course stupid. The Treskilling-Yellow may be on the next page mashed down on top of a drop of tea on the table. And I would think he could afford metal tongs.

Now that I know it's an April Fools joke...It's actually a pretty good one!

When I saw it was based in Bristol, I was immediately suspicious!

Good joke, though.
