Spain C54 Printing Error?

The printing process for these stamps was not the best, and I am wondering if the extra ink in the margin was just a printing error?

Not a print error… just a sloppy printer who did not properly clean the print plates.

Hi Smauggie,

Someone else can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe these ink smudges are very common the reprint versions.
