It appears to be dull mauve or perhaps pale mauve to me. Impossible to tell from a scan of course. The paper doesn't appear lilac.
The cancellation is the correct era - it's the third duplex issued to St Kilda, around 1877. However this cancellation hasn't been reported on SG 198. Only 30- 40 copies are known to exist and they came from a select group of Post Offices, St Kilda not being one of them.
If it's perf 13 it's likely to be SG 179 b. Just an opinion of course, you would need to have it looked at to confirm.
Only way to know for sure is to compare it side by side with a known example. Color from scanners / Monitors make it impossible to positively identify.
