I just found a great piece written To: Col David Legge Brainard Survivor of the great Mishap of the Arctic Expedition of "The Lady Franklin Bay Expedition." from 1881-1884 or AKA The Greely Expedition. I just got these in a collection I just purchased. I also ended up with Some India Court Papers that I know nothing about. But I Know I can get assistance with the identification and values of both these items here.
Since it seems that the brains of stamps are here anyway.I am how ever still unable to ID the signature at the Bottom left of the person who tried to purchase one of His photos and also viewed Earnest Shackleton,s photos. I was told this was to have gone to the Dartmouth College with , "The Papers of David Legge Brainard but somehow was missed. It was to have been in folder 29 of postcards to Brainard. The image is below all info would be appreciated.Nice piece huh.
