Hi to all

For those who know about Australian stamps George V.

Now I know that some watermarks, reversed, inverted etc can make the stamp more valuable, but what if half the watermark is missing, meaning if the watermark is in the upper half of the stamp so the crown over the A is totally or half missing, also what if a watermark is re-entered so you have a type of doubling of the watermark?
Regards
Horamakhet

Horamkhet,

The watermark is not always central to the stamp, the pattern of the watermark impression did not match the size of the stamp.

Doubling of the watermark is something I don't now about, I can't see any reference in my Specialists' Catalogue.

I have a 1914 South African 3d postage due with a clear doubling of the Springbok wmk.
