Hi all

I have come across this stamp and I have scoured the net for it but cannot find one the same. I am confused because the pictures in the corners look like they are a one anna but this stamp is a half anna.
Has anyone got any info on this stamp please?

Karen

Welcome to the forum krutt

I am not certain, but, I believe that the image you have scanned might be a 'cut-square' from postal stationery (?)

looks like a forgery of the 1/2a. Red.

The genuine unissued 1/2a. Red has 9 1/2 arches in the side borders, this one has 7 1/2 arches.

Burutsu, India did not have any Postal Stationery with that design,

Looks like 8 arches to me. I don't see any half arches. But if genuine must have 9 1/2, 8 arches is still wrong.

Thanks fir that info.

I am not into foreign stationery that much, so, I didn't know one way or the other if that was a stationery design or not.
