1849-50 20c black & 25c light blue showing the dots on chin and mandible

The easiest "field mark" is the 1870-71 "Bordeaux" stamps have lines drawn by the chin and mandible, while the first 1849-50 issue has "dots".

Difficult to tell with the resolution of your scan. Are they dots or lines?

Compare your stamp using a magnifying glass to the 1849-50 scan here.

Dots or lines?

(Edit: I agree with pagoda that they appear to be dots, but double check. )
