A super excellent scan is at 600 dpi and then reduced 50% with a graphics editor program.

Ordinary scans can be at 200 DPI reduced to 75% of the original I think myself but for screen presentation 75dpi is adequate, although does not show those lovely details as well.

Your scans are very nice the way the are. How did you do them?

Lovely stamps too. I haven't seen those before at all. Thanks for getting them up on here for everyone to see.

Try to leave a little black border around the scans for focusing on with old eyes please.

Cursus, your assumption is correct.! (B.C.O.F.) Puzzler, I photographed these using an entry model Nikon Digital SLR camera combined with a 'Macro Lens". Will leave a bit more border next time.!

Excellent shots.

There was one other fellow on SCF years ago it seems now who also had stunning photographs.

Could you describe how you set up works? What tripod or layour you use to achieve these results please?

I am an amateur only.

That is a really interesting postmark! So that is a postmark used around Christmas of St. Nick? Do you know what year it was used?

I am a complete novice but I believe the stamp is mid 1930's.(depending on the watermark). Only one I have found after looking through many hundreds of stamps.! It put a smile on my face.!

Nice stamps Robster, and nice to see the Ha'penny coin slipped in there too.
