Hey,

I found these stamps in my Polish collection and I was wondering a couple of things:

1. What are the catalog numbers for the stamps (couldn't find them )
2. How was the gold border applied and what is it made of?
3. How much are they worth?
4. Are there any more in the set that I should get my hands on?

If you can answer any of these questions it would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Welcome to Stamp Community pckmcc!

The gold foil is Not gold. It is yellow metallic ink of a sort.

The stamps are 1967 Poland Art series, pic below from ebay, asking price AUD (Australian) $9.00 with shipping of AUD $3.00, a bit less when in USD or CAD.

or, is listed on Delcampe for $ 0.99 and shipping from Latvia in Europe.
These seem to be actually postally used and not a full set of stamps.

No catalogue numbers available from me at this time sorry.

You have 4 of the 8 stamps in the set of European paintings in Polish museums, issued in 1967.
You have 40g (Scott#1552), 60g (Scott#1553), 2z (Scott#1554) and 3,40z (Scott#1556).
They are of minimal catalogue value.
