I received this wonderful stamp album in 2000 when I visited a student in a town outside of Shanghai. Her generous parents gave me several articles, and her father wouldn't let me refuse this complete album of stamps. Many have enjoyed its beauty. I am not a collector, and I am planning on selling this to help pay for my education debts. What is important to give an accurate listing? Thanks for your expertise.

I have not found any books like mine anywhere, except here on a post 3 years ago. Are these all cinderella stamps? Do the perforations matter? If the book is not valuable as a whole, I might just frame some stamps as decorative art. Thank you for the warm welcome to the forum. |

Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to tell much about your stamps from the scan, could you post a much higher resolution scan of at least a couple of pages so we can really see what you have? |

Yes, get 2-10 scans of stamps/album pages. We can't distinguish what you have, and therefore cannot access the value of your collection.
If you need to, use the tools provided on this forum to optimize your larger images for posting. There are a couple of posts on the forum that walk you through it.

Oh, also, to get an accurate listing, get the catalog numbers for the stamps in a catalog that covers your country. The values listed in the catalog are not the market value, but it gives you something to start out with value wise.
Post pictures of all the album pages and the members of the forum should be able to get you started on catalog numbers and estimated values for each individual stamp. |

These are from People's Republic of China (mainland) not Republic of China (Taiwan), which you probably already know, and are from the year 1989. It is probably what we call a year book. Unfortunately, the stamps are of minimal value. A dealer might offer you $5 for all of them. |

Since they are from 1989, they are not extremely old and therefore have a less value than stamps from earlier periods. If you can find a collector that specializes in the collection of the People's Republic of China and they do not have this album, you may be able to get more money from it. |

Thank you for the assessment. I will have no problem holding on to this album. Since finding this site, I have gained a new appreciation for my father's stamp album from the 40's. Again, I appreciate all the kind help, and plan to continue to discover more. |
