When I started collecting stamps, I never thought it would ever get this sophisticated!

I saw this one few weeks back... It's great there's some research going on, but I wonder how this is put into practice. Take a stamp to scientist/researcher for analysis? I'd much rather a machine where you put a stamp in, and it would spit out a result (original vs. fake), LOL.

Cool technology, but not cheap! Not very many stamps are valued high enough to make it worth the cost of the analysis.
