Took delivery today on one of my favourite Newfie stamps. #27 Prince Albert. Admittedly a few pulled perfs, but he's nicely centered and I like him! Well, so did Vic, so I can't be too far off the mark.

Jamesw: always look forward to your finds and great images such as this Newfoundland Scott#27. Would you consider slipping "Newfoundland" into the subject/title so old f*rts like myself, who are slowly losing their faculties, can quickly re-find it again. To quote Claude Jeremiah Greengrass "I'm an old age pensioner you know". |

Hi cynical, What! The marvellous Claude Jeremiah Greengrass played by Bill Maynard in Heartbeat? For those that do not know of this cracking character here he is singing the theme song to the series. Terry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW5o62tvEBA |

The centering is unbelievable and makes it a great find. In my experience, this stamp is notoriously poor margined.
I'll post a few of my Alberts tonight so that they can play together. |

Thanks Tommy, I agree. That's why I was willing to overlook those pesky perfs on the top. |

Here are a couple of more Alberts to hang out with yours. Note the 27 and 27a difference side by side. one with the yellow paper and one on the white. I have not figured out how to upload the image in a fully scaled up way like you have done. Could anyone help an idiot like me do this? I scan a 300 DPI image that is like 300+ file size, but then I crop it and scale it down to 100 but when I post it, it does not stay scaled up. |

HI tommy,
Do a preview scan at 300dpi, then crop it , then set the final image size (X mm x Y mm), then do the final scan. I do my final scans larger than needed, then use the site image optimiser tool to adjust them to the site parameters. This way you always have a high resolution scan on file.
