Hi,
I first apologize for not posting a picture as I am unable to do so at this time.

I have duplicate vertical commemorative sized stamps - apparently from France, portraying porceline and crystal ware on a table - with a building visable out the window. It is two shades of brown, with "Republique Francaise" on top, and in small print on the bottom right is "porcelain et cristaux". The denomination is 40 f in the upper left hand corner.

I suspect it is from the min 20th century, but after looking through two Scott's catalogues, ebay, and three Scott albums, I cannot find record of it.

Your guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Mobilman44

I would say #713 from 1954.

AnthonyUK, THAT IS IT !!

In my Scotts the stamp is not pictured but the description is written in small print. What threw me off was the picture number given for that stamp is not the pic of the porcelain & crystal.

Thanks a lot, I truly appreciate your help!

No probs.
If you do get more into France I'd consider a more specialised catalogue such as Maury which shows nearly every stamp in colour.
