Has anyone had dealings with Bond Enterprises of Arizona?

I receive their Mail Bid Catalogs and I'm just curious if anyone has done business with them?

Kevin: I assume they purchased a subscriber mailing list from someone I do business with...

APS, BNAPS, Linn's, Canadian Stamp News, Amos, ....

I successfully bid in a few of their auctions twenty-so years ago. I didn't have any problems dealing with them.

KirkS....Pretty much what I assumed.
I know for a fact...APS sells lists based on your collecting interests.

I'm an active bidder at this time with Bond. Have had no problems. My first auction with them, earlier this year, netted me about a thousand worth of Mexican stamps. They did not invoice me; just sent me the stamps, with the invoice, on the strength of my APS and MEPSI membership numbers. That was a surprise. I also got a Spanish colonial stamp that I had not bid on; a bid had gotten mis-entered. I sent the lot back with a note and payment for the other items. No questions asked.

I've been pleased thus far. And successful bid prices seem reasonable.

Kevin: I wouldn't assume, automatically, that APS is selling its membership list. Otherwise, we'd all be getting a lot more stuff.

I agree with that statement. When I joined the APS, I selected my collecting interests. Soon thereafter, I started receiving flyers from dealers in those same interests. It wasn't an annoying amount of mail.

Thanks for the feedback Climber Steve.

And just for the record, Kevin, I'm not upset that I received their catalog. In fact, I like receiving any sort of philatelic information, catalogs, etc.
