I couldn't find my original post Here is my original post where I showed you how I made my own fancy corks/cancellation devices.

https://goscf.com/t/32900

You had asked me for a strike but at the time I didn't have any India ink or even an ink pad. Now I do, so here you go! I done two stamps of each type also but haven't scanned them yet.

Here are the 4 stamps I struck. I will either mark them on the back in ink or most likely just throw them away as I don't want these to be passed off as the real thing for obvious reasons. I used damaged stamps to do this so they wasn't worth squat to begin with and certainly not now as they are now both damaged and defaced. lol

Pretty much Kevin. I was board one sunny afternoon and I had an old cork and a broom handle and thought it would be fun to carve out my own cork cancellations. I in no way intend to defraud or pass off as legitimate so I posted them here. I believe I even showed how I done it. It was very fun but I learned a few things along the way. I learned what can and can't be easily done and have since learned to spot fake corks on different auction sites. I feel I am a reputable character amongst this community and known enough to have people understand that I in no way wish to do anything unethical. But having said that it was a lot of fun.

This brings up that bad days of ebay when there was a group that did this very same thing with great success and made a lot of money until they were caught. They would buy damage stamps then repair them, clean them and re-cancel them with a new strong mark. Thus they now sold a cheaper stamp they bough at a great return in profit.

Just mark them on the back so someone in the family doesn't mistake them for real.

Looks like you had fun and they are your stamps.

These was actual cork corks. No I don't drink at all never have actually and don't plan to. I was just having a bit of fun. I tossed out the stamps I just wondered what it was like to be a postmaster back in the 1860's was all. Just a bit of fun. I actually have another thread where I showed everything and the corks themselves but I couldn't locate it. Maybe you can?
