Cleaning out my parents' old travel info I found this Missouri Travel Guide from 1986. Cover of the booklet is shown below, and example of trompe l'oeil showing some stamps with a Missouri theme. Postage rate may be incorrect!
It appears that actual stamps were affixed to the paper, rather than photos of stamps, and the cancels could be real(?) Jefferson City CDS.
Kind of a neat find.
