The 10c Italy #1 is a $10k stamp mint so I wouldn't be surprised. The 5c was never issued perforated.

Here's mine. So many fakes around produced from the earlier Sardinian issue.

Thank you for your reply and contribution, Anthony UK.

It is probably a genuine stamp but likely a Sardinia 10c which was issued imperforate with fake perfs added.

Here is a nice page with plenty of info - http://www.antichistati.com/1024/sa/saen.htm

I have many Italian stamps which were handed down to me by my father who was a very passionate collector of Italian and Russian stamps but could no longer look after them due to health reasons. Can anyone advise on where I could possibly go to have someone look at them to see which ones are genuine and desirable to keep? I literally have thousands of them including the ones discussed on this page. Much appreciated.

That is an impossible question to answer since we don't know in what country, much less what area, you live. I'm guessing from the handle and the material that you live in Italy, but there is no real reason why you could not be living in Bristol - in which case I could indeed give you advice as to where to take them to be looked at.
