I am new to the forum, so please bear with me. I am very glad to be here.

I have the first 2 volumes of the Mystic hingeless albums and agree they are very nice. I have the second volume almost full with MNH stamps and have have one observation. Since they place most of the stamps in the middle of the pages, the centers of all the paged are raised compared to the edges and they have all developed a crown in the middle and are no longer flat. If you look at the pages from the edge, it is very noticeable.

Has any one else noticed this that has an almost full album?

dutchman1948.....
Albums should be stored straight up....
this will help eliminate the crown forming.

I have all my albums standing straight up. I have some Lighthouse, Lindner, Davo, Palo, Scott, and White Ace, and none of them form this type of crown hence my comment and question.

I have the first 3 volumes of the Mystic Hingeless. My 2nd and 3rd volumes are each about 85-90% full. In both of those volumes I have noticed this effect. So far it is the only drawback I have encountered with these albums. I store my albums standing up and in matching slipcases. The problem is noticeable but minor. It wont stop me from acquiring the hingeless BOB albums next.

1 major difference I notice between the Heirloom and the hingeless is the Scott #s are outside the stamp box on the hingeless album. That, I like very much.

Since I scanned my entire Heirloom album to my website, when I'm looking at a particular stamp, I can't see what Scott # it is without pulling the actual album out or a catalog.

I'll definitely be replacing at least my first volume of the Heirloom with the hingeless at some point

I have the same situation with both my set of albums for US (Mystic - not hingless) and Dominion for Canada. I think I will buy a new blank binder for the US collection and spread it from the 3 volumes into 4. That might help the center bulge problem a bit.

centerstage has the right idea. I am fairly certain that spreading out 3 volumes into 4 would eliminate or reduce the center bulge. I considered doing that myself, but in reality it is such a minor problem for me that I can live with it and spend that money on more stamps!
