This is an item I got from our local club some months ago. It is unusual because it 'resembles' the 1967 Canadian Centennial box that was available at that time but, is really a card produced by Canada Post for ordering the actual box. I have scanned the card showing the front, opened with flap insert, flap opened up, and the back of the card.

I picked up two of these last summer, for less than the retail price in 1967. One for my mom, since I broke hers when I was a kid, and one for me. $2 each and they looked untouched.

Good Tom

Like you, I also have at least one put away.

I like to see strange oddities that are not the norm.

An interesting coincidence. I just wrote this parcel item up (used to mail the Centennial box) :

Meters are OK to collect on this type of item. I would prefer stamps though.

Nice lorddenning

I know that meters are generally frowned on, but, I guess in this case it doesn't take anything away from the collectible part of it.

One could spend quite some time on Centennial material with all the different objects and varieties out there.
