OK what is an old circle with bars called? I just cannot remember! Any help would be stellar & most appreciated! Thank you. It looks like the one below but in red ink.

Nice cover. Don't hold me to it, but maybe "barred circle"? It seems many of the names are fairly descriptive like "ringed target" and the like, but correct me if I'm wrong.

It is a circular date handstamp with a black grid cancel.

A slight variation, but I think the term you may be looking for is "circular grid".

In auctions, what it is called usually depends on who is describing it. "7 bar circular grid" is probably used most often.
