Hi I know Canada Post has free rain to produce and design any stamp quality, picture or idea, but come on..take a look at the Medical Emblem on these stamps..one is the correct way and one is opposite..what were they thinking..??
It's just a caduceus, the staff carried by Mercury. It can be represented any way they like. One snake, though, makes it a Rod of Asclepius. And there's a connection to Moses who "lifted up a serpent in the wilderness."
