Oh, and for crying out loud, don't put too much spit on the back of the mount when attaching it to the album page. It will flow into the slit on the back of the mount onto the glue on the back of your "post office fresh" stamp, thereby reducing it's value.

"Just a touch of the tongue" will do the job. Of course the bigger mounts need a bit more, but it takes very little moisture for them to stick to the album page................. FOREVER!

Is this TomBow stuff an adhesive/glue that is dispensed? I can only find TomBow Mono dispensers online that dispense what appear to be adhesive dots/strips/patches fed out from a coil refill.

The dots/strips/patches are what you want. Make sure it is the re-positional type and not the permanent type. You dispense it similar to the old white out strips. A small ribbon across the back top of the mount is all you need. Then place the mount on the page, give a little rub, and insert the stamp. No mess, no fuss. And no wrinkled pages from wet mounts

I am currently mounting a few things to blank pages and being able to reposition the mount slightly really helps in lining things up without the aide of quad lines.

I've been using this technique for awhile now and am very pleased with the results. So far no mounts have come loose and I can still remove them from the page ( carefully ) without tearing it. Any left over glue can be rubbed off with a finger.

And wt1 is correct about using the craft store coupon. Hobby Lobby always has a 40% off coupon on their website which I use to get refills.

Hi thirdfour,

Thanks for the info. I like the idea of this as without moisture there is no risk of wrinkling the album page. I will give it a go.

Terry, did you give it a go yet? I would like to know what you think.

Interestingly, I purchased a small collection about 10 months ago. All the stamps were mounted, and the mounts were attached to the album pages with hinges.
