I'm looking for suggestions of blank paper for printing some album pages. I prefer an off-white/ivory color, hevayweight, and something that should be easy to source again in the future.

thanks,
fimpster

I took a long time choosing paper and ultimately found that ThePaperMillStore.com was the best site to order paper for my custom album pages.

I wanted paper that was very close to Scott National paper in color and weight but also wanted pages that were 9.5"x12.25". I first ordered a swatch book from the site for $5 (knowing Neenah paper was close to what I wanted) and found the best match. Then I used the web site to find the SKU to order that was the correct size. I had to order larger sheets with two custom cuts. I also order some 8 1/2 x 11 for my son's album pages (he uses Steiner Pages).

Neenah CLASSIC CREST Classic Natural White Paper - 13 x 19 in 100 lb Text Smooth 250 per Package
- cut basically in half this gave me 500 sheets for about $50
- Scott National is about 100 lb Text weight (I only found this out by comparing)

Neenah CLASSIC CREST Classic Natural White Paper - 8 1/2 x 11 in 80 lb Text Smooth 500 per Ream
- without the custom cuts this was cheaper, so about $33

I also tried going to a local paper/printing store and looking at their swatch books, but that was when I though maybe they could do the ordering. However, they found about the same paper I did, so I just ordered online.

The SKUs for those orders were

13x19 -> SKU = 3-14033-F-P
81/2 x 11 -> SKU = 3-04301-F-P

Obviously the 80 lb text was a bit lighter than Scott National but still pretty nice.

This works well for me, assuming you like the heavy quality paper. Not exactly cheap (about $7 or $8 per package) but with occasional discount coupons from Staples, the price is tolerable. The most important aspect (to me) is ready availability of the same product when I need more:

Thanks everyone. @wt1 that looks like what I'm looking for, mostly because being able to get matching product again in the future is very important to me also. Am I correct to assume it is acid free, archival quality? I found this on staples website but it doesn't mention being archival quality.

Is this the same one you use @wt1 or @BradS? I cant find the item number in the picture on Staples website.

Great Info! Don't know how I missed this topic. But I am considering continuing my US Airmail collection from 1988 to the present and onward since there are only 25 or 30 or so issued since 1988. I would want to make my own sheets, but not the paper thin Minuteman sheets I am stuck with. To order supplements anyway, unless Scott has changed their ways, I would have to order every year's complete supplement with reg. issues, BOB, etc... and throw away all the pages except the (probably) one airmail sheet. I can customize each of my own sheets by inking them on a drawing board, just like old times!
