Being a newer collector of Canadian Stamps, I have noticed different Perforations on single coiled stamps. Example: scotts no. 2244 and 2244a, the Odontioda Island Red coil issue has two different perforations on single stamp. So which perf do I go by the top or the bottom perf on single stamp? EzStamp program tells me that these two numbers have seperate perforations per stamp, but the top and the bottom perfs on single stamp is different.
2244 should be 9 Horiz, Die Cut S/A COIL but the perf's are different on the top and bottom.
2244a should be 9.2 Horiz, Die Cut S/A COIL and again it has two different perfs on a single stamp.
Which should I go by, Top or Bottom.
I have also noticed this perforation difference on other coil stamps. Please Help.
Thanks in advance

These coils were printed by Lowe-Martin.

Check out this page for a lengthy article on the serpentine die cutting found on these coils: http://www.adminware.ca/LoweMartin/index.htm
