One of my recent stamp sales was stopped by PayPal because I sold stamps from Iran to a buyer in Spain. So I removed the Paypal option from those stamps on the website were I sell them. Later on when PayPal took forever to reply back I just removed them from my site along with a few Cuban stamps. I am now thinking of removing my North Korean stamps.

So before I do that can I just rename them Korea(n) or will Paypal stop those sales? Some goes for Iran, can I just relist them as Persian?

raywrio: I'm not sure if PayPal picks up on Persia or not, but a friend who runs his own private website had PayPal funds held for quite awhile for selling older Persian stamps. It's hard to tell which keywords will trigger a block.

I was hoping PayPal/Ebay was letting up on this nonsense. I had a massive postcard auction on ebay late September and I was able list and sell three postally used Cuban postcard that were paid for buy a buyer in the U.S. Everything went smoothly so who knows. You can try calling them "Korea, North". Syria and Sudan items are also on the embargo list too.

Hi to all

I have said it before, and I say it again. What gives Paypal and ebay the right to discriminate and censor collectors. You can not and must not censor history.
We all know what has happened around the world in various periods of history, and it will occur again and again. Censoring collectors and history is just denying the fact.
Why does not Paypal and ebay censor items from the Former Soviet Union, did they not kill twenty million of their own people?
Those who deny history, are bigots in my opinion, and this is what Paypal and ebay and anyone else is doing by censoring collectable.
I am an Archaeologist and an Historian, and I would never censor, or Bowderlerise anything. Denying and being a revisionist is just as currupt as the persons who perpetrated the crimes in the first place.
Regards
Horamakhet.

Battleships,

Someone wanted to buy my Cuban stuff but knew what would happen and did not buy it. Also the reason why I removed it, why both when no one will buy it. I'll just add it to my Carib collection.

Horamakhet,

They are just doing the bidding (no pun intended) of the government. I also agree with you 100%. Just looked at my avatar after I posted and feel like we do live at times in the twilight world after all.
