Hi..Look at this Scott #367 stamp...The hunter is firing his rifle from his right side..Anyone knows that when you fire right handed, you aim with your right eye..Not close it and aim with your left eye..weird.

If you like flyspecking that block of stamps, take a look at the stamp with the hunter and compare it to the next stamp with the person on skis. On the latter stamp, the word "POSTAGE" has the letters "TAG" spaced much closer together as compared to the other stamps!

Wert, I believe that the white 5 is on purpose! The word "Canada" is also white on this stamp - could it have been done to give the stamp a bit of a wintery feeling?

Actually ... right handed shooters who are "left eye dominant" will sometimes shoot that way ... With long guns it is more than a bit awkward but you see it regularly in competitive pistol shooting. Yea, I collect stamps too.

Cal516...you may be correct, but how can a ""left eye dominant" person site his left eye down the barrel lining up 2 sites..kinda hard, isn't it..???

Wert ...

As I said, it is fairly easy in pistol shooting. Many competitive shooters do this ... I'm a left eye dominant and right handed pistol shooter. I've tried using my left eye on and off over the years but could never break the old right eye habit drummed into me during years of training. It's like having nuns force a lefty to use their right hand. Now, shooting cross-eye with a long gun is another matter. High recoil rifles or shotguns are nearly impossible. Small calibre target rifles are somewhat easier. I have not been a rifle shooter in decades so, I can't offer much. That said, maybe the shotgun shooter in the stamp shown is just squinting, it's not much odder than the freestyle swimmer swimming into a tsunami.

... Cal
