I just wanted to show you my Helgoland stamps. At first I thought about posting them in the "unusual places" thread, but I don't think these stamps would fit under the category "modern stamps"
So I decided to open a new thread for classic Helgoland stamps.

Scan of my stamps: http://666kb.com/i/b1tzjdf97bln38qur.jpg

The numbers beside each stamp are the catalogue numbers from german "Michel" catalogue.

Number 3, 9 and 11 seem to be reprints, the rest should be originals, as well as the cancellation on number 14.

These are really nice. I love the colors and classic look. Thanks for sharing and post some more if you have any.

@meostamps: Thank you for the link, although I knew it already

I don't know when I'll be able to afford new ones. I bought the cheapest ones, most of the Helgoland stamps are really expensive.
In March there's a "stamp convention" here in my town, I'll be looking for Helgoland there, too.

Very interesting stamps! Thanks for posting them.
I suppose covers with these stamps are probably scarce and expensive too.

They surely are. And I suppose, there are many fakes (forgeries?) around.
Helgoland stamps rate a lot higher cancelled than unused, so you can imagine how many forged cancels there are on the market.
I can imagine that it is not much better with covers. I wouldn't buy one unexpertised.

to the family!

Helgoland is certainly an interesting place and your stamps are beautiful. I did a mini-history lesson on the islands in a post here just a couple of months ago.
